Microdesk Use and Care
1. How to use
Position the front edge of the Microdesk over the numeric keys of your keyboard (Figure 1). Adjust the height and slope to suit either a flat surface or a keyboard tray.
When writing on the Microdesk, keep your elbows within range of your body. You should not have to reach out. Write with a bent arm, not a straight arm. Make sure your fingers fit easily beneath the Microdesk for keying, and that your forearm rests comfortably on the Microdesk when writing.
Keep your chair close to the desk and your mouse close to the keyboard. Your feet should be well supported, and your shoulders and neck relaxed for work (Figure 2).
The Microdesk suits both left and right-handed writers. Place your documents on the Microdesk. There is a removable lip to stop papers from sliding - do not lean your wrist on the lip while writing. Keep your arm to the right or left of the lip (Figure 3). For detailed data, you may benefit from using the enclosed line guide.
Now you are ready to work and say “Good-bye” to neck pain. Your Microdesk will keep you from stooping and slumping, improve your posture, and dramatically reduce tension in your neck and shoulders while you work.
2. How to assemble
Assemble your Microdesk following instructions in the box, clipping the sides onto the platform top. On older models you may first need to clip the feet to the sides. Slip the front lip into place.

3. How to clean
The Microdesk™ is made of fine acrylic. The #1 problem with acrylic is the use of incorrect cleaners.
- Dust with a soft, damp cloth or chamois. Dry or dirty cloths may cause surface scratches. Do not use rough paper towels.
- Wash when necessary with mild soap or detergent or a product specifically recommended for acrylic. Rinse with clear water and dry with a soft cloth or chamois. Do not scrub or use brushes.
- Do Not Use window cleaning sprays, ammonia, scouring compounds, acetone, gasoline, benzene, carbon tetrachloride or lacquer thinner, as they can weaken or cloud the acrylic.
